Adam Sandler Says He 'Loved' Bad Bunny's Super Bowl Halftime Show: He 'Made Everybody Ecstatic'

"Oh, Benito was unbelievable," Sandler, 59, toldEntertainment Tonightof the musician's halftime show performance in a quick interview directly after the Seattle Seahawks' 29-13 win over the New England Patriots.

"Loose, happy, made everybody ecstatic. I loved it. Congrats to the Bunny — he's a great human being," added Sandler.

Bad Bunny, the 31-year-old Puerto Rican artist whose real name is Benito Antoino Martínez Ocasio, led afun-filled dance party through a medley of his biggest hitsthat featured guest performances by Lady Gaga and Ricky Martin,as well as appearances from celebrities likeCardi B, Alix Earle, Pedro Pascal, Jessica Alba on stage.

The musician's performance ended with him shouting out countries throughout North America, Central America and South America. He also displayed a message on a video board that read, "The Only Thing More Powerful Than Hate Is Love," and said in Spanish, "We're still here," before he spiked a football that was inscribed with the message, "Together We Are America."

Sandler and Bad Bunny worked together on 2025'sHappy Gilmore 2, a Netflix sequel to the comedian's 1996 golf comedy.

The rapper starred as a character named Oscar, who works as Sandler's title character's caddie through the golf matches. The film ends with Oscar realizing his dreams of owning a restaurant after Happy wins the story's pivotal match.

The rapper referred to Sandler as "my uncle" multiple times in a January 2025 interview withRolling Stoneand revealed that hesaved Sandler's contact information in his phone as "Tío Sandler."
