Burnham says the beef stems from when the “Call Her Daddy” podcast previously had a recurring segment to make fun of her then-unborn daughter Alessi, 6, whom she shares with husbandArie Luyendyk Jr.(The couple are also parentsto 4-year-old twins Senna and Lux and 7-month-old daughter Livvy.)

“They had this regular segment ongoing and they thought it would be funny to make fun of our unborn baby,” Burnham explained.

Alex Cooper Breaks Her Silence on Alix Earle Feud: ‘I Have Nothing to Hide’

Burnham said she didn’t care if she and her husband were mocked, but her unborn child was crossing a line.

“Make fun of us, don’t care. But they took it too far. They made a regular segment before she was born and after she was born where they were sexualizing our child and talking very inappropriately and disgustingly about her,” Burnham added.

The reality TV alum said the comments reached the point that she and Luyendyk considered taking legal action against Cooper but ultimately chose not to.

“We thought it would blow over. She just kept going on forever. Eventually she stopped and we kind of forgot about it and now that it’s resurfacing again, it still makes me so furious,” Burnham added. “I just hope that all of this controversy that’s hanging around her right now causes her to rethink the level that she is willing to stoop to to get attention, views, whatever it is that she’s looking for because it’s not okay and that’s all I have to say about that.”

Burnham previously spoke about her fury over the comments during an episode of the “Unplanned” podcast in 2023.

“I was really upset because they would mention her and then make inappropriate comments right after. It was so classless,” she said at the time.

Burnham continued, “Arie was like, ‘Don’t do anything about it.’ I was about to hire a lawyer. Honestly, they should be in big trouble for doing that. It’s not OK. I never said anything because he felt like if we addressed it publicly, it would only make it bigger. That’s what they want.”

FCC orders Disney to file for early license renewal after Kimmel clash

The Federal Communications Commission has directed Walt Disney Co. to file early license renewal applications for its ABC television stations, citing an ongoing investigation, a day after President Trump called on the company tofire comedian Jimmy Kimmel.

The FCC said in its order that it is investigating ABC stations for "possible violations" of the Communications Act of 1934 and the agency's prohibition on unlawful discrimination. An FCC official told CBS News that the order is related to the agency's investigation into Disney's diversity, equity and inclusion practices, which the official said has been ongoing since March 2025.

In a statement to CBS News, Disney said it has received the FCC's order for an accelerated review of its ABC-owned television stations.

"ABC and its stations have a long record of operating in full compliance with FCC rules and serving their local communities with trusted news, emergency information, and public‑interest programming," a Disney spokesperson said. "We are confident that the record demonstrates our continued qualifications as licensees under the Communications Act and the First Amendment and are prepared to show that through the appropriate legal channels."

The ABC licenses were originally scheduled for renewal between 2028 and 2031. The companyownseight TV stations, including WABC-TV in New York and KABC-TV in Los Angeles.

Trump calls for Kimmel firing

The FCC order comes after President Trump and Melania Trump urged ABC tofire Kimmelafter he made a joke during his April 23 show in which he described the first lady as having "the glow of an expectant widow." In the program, Kimmel pretended to deliver a comedy routine at the upcoming White House Correspondents' Dinner. His program aired two days before the event.

In the aftermath of the dinner, in which an alleged gunman shot aSecret Service agentat the Washington, D.C., ballroom where the Trumps had gathered, the first lady said that ABC should "take a stand" against Kimmel.

"Wow, Jimmy Kimmel, who is in no way funny as attested to by his terrible Television Ratings, made a statement on his Show that is really shocking," Mr. Trumpwrotein an April 27 post on social media. "I appreciate that so many people are incensed by Kimmel's despicable call to violence, and normally would not be responsive to anything that he said but, this is something far beyond the pale."

He added, "Jimmy Kimmel should be immediately fired by Disney and ABC."

Kimmel defended his joke during hisMonday night monologue, describing the routine as centering on the Trumps' 23-year age difference. The routine was "a very light roast joke about the fact that he's almost 80 and she's younger than I am. It was not by any stretch of the definition a call to assassination. And they know that," Kimmel said.

Trump, who turns 80 in June, is the oldest U.S. president to take office. His wife, a former model who was born in Slovenia, is 56.

Kimmel also defended his First Amendment rights, saying, "Donald Trump is allowed to say whatever he wants to say, as are you and as am I, as are all of us, because under the First Amendment, we have as Americans the right to free speech."

Festering feud

The issue marks the second clash between the FCC and Disney within the last year, with ABC preempting "Jimmy Kimmel Live" in September after criticism of comments Kimmel made on his late-night TV show followingthe shooting deathof conservative activist Charlie Kirk.

At the time, FCC Chairman Brendan Carrreferred toKimmel's comments as "some of the sickest conduct possible," and said there was a "path forward for suspension over this."

The FCC doesn't have the authority to cancel broadcasters' licenses "because of their perceived political views," Jameel Jaffer, executive director at the Knight First Amendment Institute at Columbia University, said in an email to CBS News.

Short-handed Wolves pull away from Nuggets, seal series in Game 6

Elevated into the starting lineup of a heavily depleted backcourt, Terrence Shannon Jr. scored a career-playoff-high 24 points to help the Minnesota Timberwolves close out the Denver Nuggets 110-98 in Game 6 of a first-round playoff series on Thursday in Minneapolis.

The sixth-seeded Timberwolves advance to face the second-seeded Spurs in the Western Conference semifinals, with Game 1 scheduled for Monday in San Antonio.

Minnesota was already down All-NBA guard Anthony Edwards (knee) and his starting perimeter counterpart, Donte DiVincenzo (Achilles), when Ayo Dosunmu was announced as a scratch shortly before tipoff of Game 6. Dosunmu, a hero in Game 4 with 43 points, was held out on Thursday due to a calf injury.

Veteran Kyle Anderson was also crossed off the Minnesota lineup on Thursday because of an illness, contributing to a rash of absences that necessitated Shannon -- who did not play in the first three games of the series -- entering the starting lineup.

He stepped up, capping his 9-of-20 performance shooting from the field with a crucial three-point play that ignited a game-ending 10-1 run for the Timberwolves.

With Minnesota nursing a 100-97 lead, Shannon penetrated into the lane and scored against contact from Jamal Murray with a scooping layup. He made the subsequent free throw with 1:43 to go.

After Cameron Johnson split a pair of free throws on the other end, Minnesota's Jaden McDaniels -- who scored a game-high 32 points -- connected on a pull-up mid-range jumper.

McDaniels' shot served as a backbreaker for third-seeded Denver, with the crowd erupting as the Timberwolves opened up an eight-point lead with 1:07 left. The bucket put an exclamation mark on a dominant final five minutes in which the Timberwolves did not allow the Nuggets a made field goal.

"Jaden McDaniels, he talked all series and he backed it up all series," Minnesota head coach Chris Finch said. "That's called legitimate tough. He not only led us tonight [in] scoring, but [Jamal] Murray was 4-for-17 tonight [and] I don't think he scored on Jaden the whole game. That's what you want."

Denver trailed much of the way and never led in the second half but remained within a single-digit-point margin until the final minute. Nikola Jokic helped keep the Nuggets within striking distance, finishing with team highs in points (28), assists (10) and rebounds (nine).

Johnson added 27 points and shot 5 of 10 from 3-point range, but the Nuggets struggled to find consistent offense elsewhere. Murray was limited to 12 points on 4-of-17 shooting from the floor.

"They were just better in every aspect," Jokic said.

The same aggressive Minnesota defense that kept Murray in check frustrated Jokic in the second half, boiling over when he got into a shoving match with Timberwolves reserve guard Jaylen Clark early in the fourth quarter. Naz Reid pushed Jokic from behind, resulting in all three players receiving technical fouls.

Jokic remained in the lineup despite a chorus of "kick him out" chants from the home crowd.

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — TheMinnesota Timberwolveshad plenty of lulls during the regular season, seemingly coasting at times while struggling to recapture the form that fueled them to consecutive Western Conference finals appearances over the last two years.

The postseason switch sure got flipped against the rival Denver Nuggets, as the players promised all along. The energy and urgency was never greater than in the series-clinchingGame 6 victoryon Thursday, when the determined Timberwolves shook off the absence of their three best guards and beat the Nuggets 110-98.

“Still part of our growth,” coach Chris Finch said. “We’ve been really good with the high moments. Our consistency sometimes throughout the season isn’t always there, which we don’t really like about ourselves, but we know we have it in ourselves to meet these moments.”

Jaden McDaniels clearly does.

Nobody on the Timberwolves embodies the mercurial nature of this close-knit but often-moody team than McDaniels, the sixth-year forward who made a name for himself in this series.

Tirelessly chasing All-Star guard Jamal Murray around screens and everywhere he tried to go along the perimeter, limiting him to 4-for-17 shooting in Game 6, McDaniels did even more on the offensive end.

With a big chunk of the team's shot creation missing due to injuries to Anthony Edwards, Donte DiVincenzo and Ayo Dosunmu, McDaniels went 13 for 25 from the floor for 32 points with 10 rebounds.

“What I was the most proud about him was just his emotional control, being able to stay poised, not overreact to adversity, calls or missed shots, or mistakes,” teammate Rudy Gobert said. "He stayed present, and he stepped up big time when we needed him the most, so I’m really, really proud of him.”

McDaniels tossed even more spice into thiswell-developed rivalryearly in the series with his blanket “bad defenders” jab at the opponent, and he made no secret of the motivation he gets from seeing “Denver” or “Nuggets” sewed on the other team's jersey.

“The only thing I said to him, after he had made his comments, was, ‘Now it’s time to back it up,’” Finch said. “And talking doesn’t matter. You've got to go do it. I knew he was going to put the effort in, so he was ready for it, and he owned it, and he responded.”

McDaniels later irked Nuggets star Nikola Jokic by taking an uncontested layup in the closing seconds of Minnesota's blowout win in Game 4, sparking a brief shoving match.

McDaniels had his worst game of the series in the loss in Game 5 on Monday, when he was booed often by the Denver crowd, but he responded on his home court with one of the best games of his career.

With the Timberwolves trying to put away the game, McDaniels delivered the dagger shot — swishing his signature mid-range pull-up to give them a seven-point lead with 1:06 to play. Then he intercepted a harried pass by Jokic to get the ball back and start a parade to the line.

Jokic gave McDaniels a hug after the final horn, a sign of respect from the three-time NBA MVP despite the irritation he caused all series long.

“I’m just happy it’s over, happy we were able to come out on top,” McDaniels said. “Stuff was said. I’m just happy we were all able to prove our point, get the win and move on to the next round.”

Victor Wembanyama and the San Antonio Spurs have been waiting. They'll host Game 1 on Monday.

“I figured the real winner of this series was going to be San Antonio, because both these teams were going to take a lot of pieces out of each other, and did,” Finch said. “So I’m not sure what we have left standing there before we go down there.”

Even if they're short-handed and overmatched, the Timberwolves are a good bet to put up a strong fight.

“You have to believe that you can win, no matter what,” Gobert said. "Obviously we’re missing some pretty important players, right? But no matter who’s out there, we believe in our defense. We believe in trusting one another. Anything’s possible.”
