Galitzine, 31, stars as the character in 2026's remake ofMasters of the Universe,nearly 40 years after Lundgren, 68, originated the live-action role in the 1987 cult classic. The actors posed together on the carpet of the film's Los Angeles premiere at the TCL Chinese Theatre on Monday, May 18, along with the rest of the cast, which includesMorena Baccarin,Camila MendesandIdris Elba, and director Travis Knight.

Lundgren and Galitzine were also all smiles at the premiere's after-party, posing together with their fists up in true superhero fashion.

Lundgren told PEOPLE at the movie's premiere that seeing Galitzine take on the part felt like "passing the sword over."

"It was a great feeling for me," he said. "It's great that he's such a great He-Man and I think it's a great production and I was really honored to be part of it. It was fun for me to show up in a movie and give him some advice when he needs it the most."

Lundgren reflected on the impact of the franchise, which is based on the Mattel action figures, and its lasting power 40 years later.

"There's still something special about this franchise," he told PEOPLE. "There's something about what they created back in 1982, I think it was, the series came out, the little cartoon came out and the toys, and there's something about it that people respond to."

InMasters of the Universe, Galitzine's He-Man teams up with warrior Teela (Mendes) and a group of allies against Skeletor (Jared Leto) and sorceress Evil-Lyn (Alison Brie) to save his ravaged home of Eternia.

An official synopsis for the film reads, "To save his family and his world, Adam must join forces with his closest allies, Teela and Duncan/Man-At-Arms and embrace his true destiny as He-Man — the most powerful man in the universe.”

Victor Wembanyama has BEEN 'the best player in the f***ing world' — and this is only the beginning

Feel free to shake your head at the fact that he pulled down 24 rebounds, which was more than the entire OKC starting lineup. Add in that he swatted away three OKC offerings and held the Thunder to 35.7% shootingon twoswhile he was on the floor. That’s all great.

But the craziest number of all is 22 — the number of years that Wembanyama has been alive.

“Best player in the f***ing world,” his teammate Stephon Castle said after the game.

To be clear, that was a reminder, not an announcement. I understand why folks have been reluctant to crown Wembanyama as The Best Player In The F’ing World because we’ve been conditioned to wait until it feels safer. Wait until they hit their prime. Wait until their team has won the championship. Wait until … well, they’re older than 22 f***ing years old.

But as a basketball species, Wemby is different, hence the alien moniker. He’s taller than everybody, yes, but the true differentiator is that he’s processing the game quicker than anyone. I noticed his processing power two years ago when I wrote that he was on theGOAT path. I doubled down this season when I predicted in October that he’d win MVPthis season(he qualified under the 65-game rule, but I don’t think he played enough minutes to convince voters).

So as someone who has been touting Wemby perhaps earlier than most (too early at times!), let me say this: Monday’s Game 1 supernova didn’t establish him as the best player in the galaxy. Because healreadysnatched that mystical accolade weeks ago from Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Nikola Jokić or whichever name you throw into that pile.

We can look at the measurables, which have been admittedly warped downward by Wembanyama’s unexpected absences. The Game 2 concussion against Portland and Game 4 ejection against Minnesota threw a wet blanket on his per-game averages because he only played a handful of minutes in those games.

But rest assured, when Wembanyama was on the floor, he was putting upnumbers. Wembanyama was averaging 25.4 points, 13.9 rebounds and 5.2 blocks per 36 minutes headingintoMonday’s Game 1, hinting that a monster 41-23-3-3 outing was within reach. But judging by his more pedestrian 20.3 points, 10.7 rebounds and 4.1 blocks (OK, that last one isn’t pedestrian), you might not have guessed that Wemby made another leap.

Report: LIV Golf's CEO seeking potential $250M investment

LIV Golf CEO Scott O'Neil has started the search for two different levels of investors, while seeking as much as $250 million in investment capital beyond this year, Axios reported.

Sauda Arabia started the breakout golf league in 2022 through its Public Investment Fund but will no longer provide backing to the tour after the 2026 season is completed.

PIF has invested between $5 billion and $8 billion since starting LIV Golf, according to estimates, but will now focus on investments domestically. The league has never come close to turning a profit, according to reports.

LIV Golf already has postponed its New Orleans tournament that was slated for June but left the door open for a different version of the tournament later this year. The postponement leaves a gap on the schedule between LIV Golf Andalucia in Spain (June 4-7) and LIV Golf UK (July 23-26).

LIV Golf intends to operate in the future but will have to bring aboard investors in the hope of being viable. And even then, the league might be diminished from what is in place now with stars like Bryson DeChambeau, Jon Rahm, Joaquin Niemann, Cameron Smith and Tyrrell Hatton.

According to the report, LIV Golf is letting it be known to prospective investors that an infusion of $250 million will make the league profitable within two years.

Another $150 million investment plan is being floated, but that will have to be offset through a new media rights deal and the sale of its 13 teams which consist of four competitors each.

It’s not unusual to see tennis players meltdown during a match. Verbal altercations with umpires, broken rackets and errant tennis balls flying into the stands are the standard course of actions for frustrated players.

But Corentin Moutet decided to take things to a whole other level Monday. During a match with Davidovich Fokina, Moutet pulled his shorts down after losing a point.

It was … a bizarre moment for everyone involved.

So, what exactly is the punishment for a player pulling down their pants in the middle of a match? In this instance, Moutet received a warning for unsportsmanlike conduct for his actions. Given the situation, Moutet may have been lucky his punishment wasn’t more severe.

Oddly, it’s not the first time a tennis player has pulled down their pants on the court. The same thing happened in 2004, only it was in celebration of winning a point.

Marat Safin was the guilty party in that match.

Safin was assessed a one-point penalty for the gesture. Despite that, he wound up winning the match and advancing. When askedabout the situationafter the match, Safin asked, “What’s bad about [pulling down your shorts in celebration]?”

Any chance of Moutet repeating his antics will have to wait until his next event. Moutet lost to Fokina on Monday 6-4, 6-4. The loss eliminated Moutet from the Hamburg Open.

With the win, Fokina will advance to the Round of 16, where he’ll face No. 3 ranked Alex de Minaur. Here’s hoping both competitors keep their cool — and their shorts — in that match.

A new documentary is offering a closer look at the final interview given by John Lennon — just hours before his murder.

John Lennon: The Last Interview,from director Steven Soderbergh, details Lennon's final interview, given to San Francisco radio station KFRC from out of his and wifeYoko Ono's apartment on Dec. 8, 1980. The interview was meant to focus onDouble Fantasy, Lennon's comeback album recorded with Ono and released three weeks prior.

According toThe Guardian, Lennon's final interviewers were KFRC's Dave Sholin, Laurie Kaye and Ron Hummel who, on their way out of the musician's Manhattan building, The Dakota, "were accosted by a creepy stalker-fan; in attempt to calm the man down, Kaye gave him a brand new copy of John and Yoko's new album ... This sinister man was Lennon's future murderer who got him to sign an album — perhaps this very album — and later shot him dead."

PerVariety, Soderbergh utilizes many never-before-seen photographs of both Lennon and his wife, as well as "a handful of fantasy images created by AI" in the documentary, which made its debut at the 2026 Cannes Film Festival on Saturday, May 16.

Hours prior to giving the interview, Lennon and Ono posed for a series of now-iconic photographs by Annie Leibovitz, who photographed the couple in their Manhattan apartment.

Hours after the interview, Lennon would be shot twice in the back and twice in the shoulder with a .38-caliber pistoloutside of that same New York City apartment.The Washington Postreported that N.Y.C.'s medical examiner, Dr. Elliot Gross, attributed Lennon's death to “massive hemorrhaging and shock” caused by the wounds. He was 40 years old.

According to the autopsy, two bullets struck Lennon's left lung before exiting his chest. One bullet that entered through his shoulder hit his left arm bone, while the other punctured his left lung before becoming lodged in his neck.

Shortly after Lennon was shot, his killer,Mark David Chapman, confessed at the scene of the crime. He later told a parole board that he was a Beatles fan “seeking fame.”

"I knew what I was doing, and I knew it was evil,” he said in September 2022. “I knew it was wrong, but I wanted the fame so much that I was willing to give everything and take a human life."

Lennon was survived by his wife, andtwo sons, Julian andSean Lennon.

During aCannes Film Festivalnews conference for the movie "Paper Tiger," the "Star Wars" actor, 42, brushed off a question about his former "Girls" costar claiming that he screamed and threw things on the set of the HBO show.

When a journalist asked Driver for his response "to Lena Dunham's portrayal of you in her memoir, and whether your process has changed since your time on 'Girls,' " he immediately shut the topic down.

"I have no comment on any of that. I'm saving it all for my book," he said, drawing laughs before the conference quickly moved on to the next question.

In his breakout role, Driver played Adam Sackler, the on-again, off-again love interest of Dunham's character, Hannah, on the HBO comedy "Girls" from 2012 to 2017.

In April, Dunham's memoir "Famesick" delved into her complicated relationship with Driver while they worked together on the show. In the book, she wrote that Driver could be "short-tempered and verbally aggressive, condescending and physically imposing," including in an incident where he allegedly threw a chair when she forgot her lines.

"Late one night, as we practiced lines in my trailer, I found that mine were suddenly gone," she wrote. "I knew I'd written them. I'd known them only minutes before. But when I opened my mouth, all that came out was a stammer – until finally, Adam screamed, 'F------ SAY SOMETHING' and hurled a chair at the wall next to me. 'WAKE THE F--- UP,' he told me. 'I'M SICK OF WATCHING YOU JUST STARE.'"

In another incident, Driver allegedly "punched a hole in his trailer wall" because he "hated his new haircut." Dunham said they "fought often" while working together, typically "about the content of a scene, what it required, and how it would be executed," though Driver could also "be protective, loving even."

In one chapter, Dunham detailed a night when Driver came to see her at her apartment, but she didn't let him in because she felt they were threatening to cross a "boundary" in their relationship. A month later, she wrote, Driver told Dunham he was engaged, and she was "heartbroken."

According to her book, Dunham and Driver have not spoken since "Girls" ended in 2017.

In an interview withPeople, Dunham, 40, said she wrote about Driver not to make him seem like an "outlier," but to explore how "being around this very talented, charismatic, complex and powerful person affected me in ways that were really positive and in ways that were a bit harder."

Dunham also said on"Today"that her experience with Driver was a "dynamic that a lot of young women can understand from the workplace," adding that she hopes people read what she wrote about him "in context, and understand it in the totality."
